The frame lock integrity and duration are guaranteed against wear by a heat-treated steel insert that can be easily replaced. Differently from its drop-point predecessor, the Frame Rock has a spearpoint blade, 3” (75 mm) long, 0.23” (6.0 mm) thick, fullered for further lightness. The blade is in Bohler N690 steel, heat treated to 58 HRC. It can be had in black with DLC treatmet or stone washed finish. To make opening even smoother and effortless, the blade pivots on ball bearings. This mechanism allows the user to adjust the force needed to free the blade from the closed position thanks to a screw.
