DOBERMANN IV represents the evolution of the first and most classic Extrema Ratio K1 DOBERMANN model.

Since 1997, the DOBERMANN model has undergone significant aesthetic and design changes based on evolving tastes and trends, while maintaining a line consistent with the original designs. DOBERMANN IV makes flexibility of use and structural strength its main features.

DOBERMANN IV S 600, like the model from which it derives, is a multi-purpose tool suitable for outdoor activities, hiking, camping, and professional use.

The tool body features an ergonomic and functional design with a contoured profile. The grinding is executed with a flat profile. This particular geometry allows the DOBERMANN IV to perform precise and clean operations on materials such as ropes, wood, and foliage, as well as being easily employed in typical heavy-duty outdoor and field tasks, such as wood processing and timber splitting.

Unlike other DOBERMANN IV models, this version uses Böhler S600 steel. This material is used in industrial manufacturing to make metalworking tools and molds. The high content of molybdenum, tungsten, and a good presence of vanadium in its chemical composition give it excellent hardness, wear resistance, and toughness. The presence of Cobalt promotes the formation of small, uniformly distributed carbides, a feature that enhances and elevates wear resistance. The body of the DOBERMANN IV S 600 is hardened and cryogenically treated, reaching an exceptional hardness of 64 HRC. This provides great wear resistance and the ability to maintain long-lasting, high-level performance during use. Böhler S600 contains 4.5% chromium, making it a carbon steel prone to oxidation. For this reason, the new Teflon-based “EXP DARK” coating proposed by Extrema Ratio has been applied.

DOBERMANN IV S 600 features a green Forprene handle. A multi-purpose rear pommel extends from the handle, equipped with a lanyard hole.

DOBERMANN IV S 600 comes with a cordura carrying case, also in green, equipped with a modular attachment system, adaptable for both left- and right-handed users.
